Silver Duke of Edinburgh Expedition in Exmoor

At the start of term, 31 Year 11 students acquitted themselves very well on the four day Silver Practice Expedition to Exmoor.

Despite unusual temperatures, lack of breeze, ticks and high UV, they took care of themselves well. Everyone completed the three walking days at a reasonable pace and got to Exmoor's highest point at 519m, Dunkery Beacon. The trip also saw Fergus and Takahito successfully complete their Bronze Qualifier expedition. Members of the public and the campsite owners commented on the good nature and behaviour of our students.
