Pre-Prep

PRE-PREP

From Westhill Nursery to Year 6, we provide an outstanding all-round education for boys and girls. The well-being of each and every child is at the heart of all we do, our pastoral care is excellent and our learning environment warm, caring and nurturing.

We aim to ensure children grow to become independent, confident, happy and resilient learners. We aim high and want our pupils to succeed and this is underpinned by our core values of Ambition, Responsibility, Courage and Respect.

Small classes are taught by a team of dedicated and highly-qualified teaching staff, enabling us to know each child individually and plan appropriately, ensuring that every child is able to achieve their full potential.

We follow our school motto of ‘Ut Prosim’, to be of service, through community service initiatives and charity fund-raising. High self-esteem, self- confidence and independence are fostered throughout all our activities.

Our website only gives you a small taste of the vibrancy of our school and we warmly invite you to visit to experience it for yourselves

The School Day

The Pre-Prep Years of Reception, Years 1 and 2 are all located in Fiveways, a purpose built warm and calming building opposite All Saints’ Church and the main Ryde School site.

We welcome children from 8am for our Breakfast Club or between 8.15am and 8.40am ready for registration at 8.40am.

The Pre-Prep core day finishes at 3.30pm. The day can be extended to 4:00pm, 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm by children attending a variety of clubs, both in-house and externally provided, and Supper Club.

Lunch

Pre-Prep have their own dining room where teaching staff and pupils eat together helping with table manners and healthy food choices.

Most of our food is cooked from scratch by our skilled chefs, using fresh ingredients and sourced from preferred local suppliers.

We are also able to cater for special dietary needs (e.g., dairy/lactose intolerance, gluten-free). Pease let us know when registering your child for Ryde.

"I love Ryde School for the opportunities and experiences the children have; both academically and with all the extra curricular options, this school is a wonderful community of families, staff and most importantly children."
